This time round, it is Amethystory which is a new line from Ginvera!
The packaging kinda attracted me so I decided to have a go on this new range of products!

This is Amethyst, a purple gem stone.

Just like Biore Foam cleanser, this face wash also dispenses FOAM!
I think foam cleanser is on the trend!

This cleanser has a nice smell which makes me want to clean my face more!
I do think that it feels very moisturizing on my skin and leaves my skin feeling pretty smooth!

So far, no breakouts so I guess it cleanses pretty well. But I get swayed off whenever I think that the bubbles aren’t as soft, foamy or dense as the Biore’s. Does it really clean better or worse? I seriously can’t determine.

Just like the Ginvera’s marvel gel, there are no beads but you can actually “rub” your dead skin cells off ….

The difference between Marvel Gel and this is that it dispenses out as a liquid and not gel form.

It is so gentle that you can actually use it daily!
But likewise, I don’t like the idea of exfoliating daily, so I do it once a week.

It leaves my skin really really smooth after this step! I think this is a great buy, however I still prefer Marvel Gel as I think liquid form kinda get messy …

And the next step is TONER!

This product contains another ingredient called Tranexamic Acid which can help to fight dark spots and lighten complexion effectively. Actually, I don’t really like to use the word “lighten” cos no products can change your skin tone….I prefer the word “brighten”.

This product is easily absorbed into my skin so I like it!

Overall, I find this range of products soothing, moisturizing and gentle!

Your skin needs some care

So you have your hair care and your facial regime, what about your body?
Our body’s skin is the largest organ. Hence, like other organs, we should also take great care of it.

How do you take good care of your skin?
Let me tell you about what I do…

1) Never take long hot showers.
Having stayed with different friends overseas or staycation, I find that my showering speed is a lot faster than most of my female friends. I always keep my showering to the minimum because bathing under water for too long can be drying for the skin as it strips off the natural moisture. Next, never bath under hot water. Lukewarm water is fine but not hot water because it is dehydrating for the skin.

2) Use a bathing sponge
I find that using a bathing sponge can allow my soap to foam up easily, hence I do not need to rub too vigorously or that long. In a way, I can save a lot of soap too cos a little bit of the soap foams so much.

3) Body scrub once or twice a week.
Like our face, there’s bound to be a lot of dead skin cells hence scrubbing our body once or twice a week is definitely essential.

4) Moisturize at least every other day
Depending on your skin type; dry skin may find that they have to moisturize everyday in order to keep their skin hydrated. Moisturizing your body definitely helps the skin to retain its elasticity and prevent dryness, especially when a lot of people sleep in an air-conditioned room. Oh and I just found out that moisturizing often can help preventing stretch marks!

5) Use SPF during the day
A lot of people actually skipped this step. Me too, am guilty of it. But I’m trying to make up for it now. lol. Just like our face, our body is exposed to the sun’s harmful UV rays too. So why should we skip applying SPF on our body? Hmmm..unless you think freckles and pigmentation are sexy.

Some of the products which I use ….

Previously I was also using another body lotion with SPF but heard that Vaseline’s is good so I’m giving it a try. I don’t expect it to lighten my skin actually but I like it that it is a moisturizer with SPF so means no double work for me. One downside is I don’t like that it has a fragrance as I wouldn’t want my perfume and the smell of the lotion to clash.

I’ve been using this very long for my pair of hands.
I’m not sure if age is catching up or what but my hands are getting dryer than before. It is a MUST to apply hand cream for me every night before I sleep. It smells good and I like it that it serves to protect my nails too! One downside is that this is a little oily …

This is rather new in my regime. I think I have a lot of dead skin cells on my feet because I find them a little rough….hopefully with scrub and this, my feet would be able to see the world!

I’m also using Physiogel Lotion at night. But I don’t apply them every night; once every other night I guess.

You may not notice it,but your skin is always there and it is the largest organ of your entire body. Don’t neglect it!

For me, I use BB cream!

Do you want a cosmetic product that makes you look dull and tired after removing them

These are dead skin cells and dirt from the skin!

On certain days I experience a lot of flakes, while some other days I only experience a little! So you can actually judge how dirty your face is that day! hiak hiak.

I use it every alternate night because its so gentle on the skin, unlike those rough exfoliater with coarse beads.

My pores are always well cleanse after using and my skin appears smoother when I touch it! =D

 

Before I slather some moisturizer on my skin, it’s essential for me to ROLL AWAY dark eye circles using JADE DARK EYE CIRCLES ROLL AWAY.

This is the second time I’m trying out on a eye roll-up. I would say this is a better packaging than any others in the market. More solid!

Open up the cap and you will be greeted by REAL JADE.

According to ancient Chinese medical book, “Jade has cooling properties. It can help to ‘dissolve toxins’, nourish skin, improve circulation, eyesight and energize the brain. Due to the emission of energy, Jade is believed to have unique purification and calming properties as well. “

It is very watery and easily absored by the skin. So no milla seeds!

I think constant massaging and rolling the jade on your eyes will improve blood circulation around the eye area and therefore reducing dark eye circles. IF your dark eye circles are form due to poor blood circulation.

Directions:

Roll it on your lower lid to and fro for about 10 times. Repeat this step on your upper lid as well.  Dark eye circle is a CIRCLE, not semi-circle. So do it on your whole eyes!

Gently pat the essence in using your ring finger. (the second last finger)

AND this is how I look like 5 days later.
P/S: Sorry am in my home clothes. This picture is taken just out of bed. No makeup too!

My skin looks fairer, and more radiant! Pores seem smaller too!
As for my dark circles, I think it’s still there though slightly improving. One week is not enough to show the efficacy and I’ve not been sleeping well due to studying! *Cries
