Fav Makeup Products

I have finally finally cleared all my backlogs and that means I have more space and time to post about things I purchased myself and things that I really love! Not that I don’t love the stuff sponsored to me, some are indeed impressive! Just that, nothing beats reviews of my very own purchase, isn’t it? Also, I have not been accepting new sponsorship lately because I simply have no time to stick to the datelines given to me.

Today I’m gonna talk about some of the makeup products I really love but has never been mentioned on this platform. The usual raves would be my mascara, eyeliner and foundation. So this time round, I’m gonna talk about something else!

And that is lipstick, concealer and eyebrow liner.

Everyone knows I’ve been searching for the perfect concealer and I think I’ve found mine with Makeup Forever. Under my friend’s recommendation, I bought Makeup Forever Full Cover Concealer. It was pretty expensive so I was a bit apprehensive when I first purchased it, but I found it so amazing after trying it on my face!

It has a creamy texture which can be blended easily yet stays put throughout the day. It also has pretty good coverage! I remembered there was once my sister complimented my skin and asked if I put anything on as she couldn’t see much of my acne scars and redness. I then told her I had used the concealer! She was awed by it and gave it a try and she agreed that it was awesome! Also, I had no issue with the colour. It just blended into my skintone.

Ever since I was introduced to K Palette, I’ve never jumped out of it. Besides its liner, I also love their eyebrow liner (Real Lasting 24H Eyebrow). This is my third eyebrow liner from K Palette.

Because it’s a liquid eyebrow liner, the colour stays on throughout the day without having the need to reapply like eyebrow pencils. It is also very easy to draw it on. You don’t have to worry about using too much as it goes on pretty faint.

And then, it is the gorgeous lipstick from Etude House PPK002. I admit I gave in to the princessy packaging. Apologies for the lipstick colour portrayed in this picture. The lipstick is supposed to be a purplish pink not red.

The formula of the lipstick is pretty smooth and moisturizing.

Even without any gloss, this lipstick looks shiny on the lips without overdoing it. I actually hate lip gloss! This lip colour compliments my skintone as well!

I hope you love my reviews and I’ll be looking forward to sharing my beauty faves of my very own purchases. :)

Holy Grail: K Palette’s Improved Eyeliner

My favourite eyeliner brand K Palette sent me a newer improved version of their 24H Real Lasting Eyeliner, WP Super Black. And it came with a handwritten card. AWWWW.

The newer formula is said to be even water proof and smudge proof that withstnads water, sweat and skin sebum!
Tried and tested! This eyeliner is extremely smudge proof that I always come home with beautiful eyes.(if only eyeliner is applied. My mascara smudge on me sometimes.)

Super Black intensity so that you can skip the hassle of drawing it over and over again. The eyeliner also comes with a patented micro-fibre fine brush tip for superb control and ease of drawing.

There are additional beauty essences added in the new formula – Hyaluronic acid Na, Water soluble collagen and Swertia Japonica essence, so that you can care your lid while drawing on it. But, well … I don’t think drawing a single thin line will help much though.

This is the way I love to draw my eyeliner most of the time.

I find that the newer improved version is easier to remove at the end of the day! Just a simple wipe and it’s gone. No need to tug my eyes anymore.

And when you want to have some fun with your eyeliner, try drawing some bottom lashes with it! Kawaii ne! This is a look that I created LONG TIME BACK using K Palette’s liner. Told you I am a fan long time back. :D

So girls, start drawing and have some fun!

K Palette New Products

Was invited to Jurong Point’s Sasa outlet for a makeover by K Palette. I went but didn’t really do much makeover due to eye infection. Nonetheless, I took some photos to show you girls their new products!

Their very first Mascara (1 day Lash Perm) was launched!

The new mascara promises lengthening effect without clumps and it is also easily removed with lukewarm water. We all know how irritating it is when mascara clumps together. This one can help you to achieve beautifully fan out lashes without any clumps!

Comes in a red sturdy packaging.

The wand is designed to fit our eyes.

Japanese Makeup products are always awesome as they are catered to Asians.

K Palette has their under eye concealer too and they come in 3 shades!

Shade 01 – Natural Beige (Moisturizing Effect)
Shade 02 – Yellow Beige (Brightening Effect)
Shade 03 – Orange Beige (Improves Blood Circulation)

The MUA used shade 02 on me.

Look who I spotted! Charlene and Yina! :)

I love K palette’s eyeliner as much as they do. I also love their brow liquid liner too! <3

L’oreal Infallible Eyeshadow look

I took the following eye makeup pictures after a long day out. Hence, the makeup is a little bit greasy. But nonetheless, the eyeshadow did lasted the whole day! I was using  L’oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Hourglass Beige and Flashback Silver. I really love how sparkly these shadow are and they are also a breeze to apply. They are pigmented and long lasting! Love them. Prior to application, I used Urban Decay Eye Primer for a lasting finish.

I’ve been using Heroine Make Mascara ever since I was introduced to them. And yes, I’m a convert!! I love how long and curl my lashes seem using this Mascara. And two coats is enough for a finish like this.
I am using Clio Gelpresso Liner on my waterline and smudge it for a subtle effect. I like how it lasted long enough without me looking like Kai Kai and Jia Jia (the pandas that just arrived in Singapore). :p

I am also using K palette’s Black Liner and eyebrow liner. Noticed how I drew the line at the end, mimicking fluttering lashes so that when I open my eyes, my lases will be more fluttering.

That’s about all! ^-^

PS: I have so many posts to clear!! So stay tune! ^-^

Which is my perfect eyeliner?

What is your makeup essential?
Which item would you pick if you can only leave the house with one item?

Many girls I know would almost never leave the house without an eyeliner.

An eyeliner when drawn correctly can make your eyes appear bigger and brighter.
My makeup essential used to be an eyeliner too, but now I can do without. Let’s just say my makeup essential is now the eyebrows or the mascara that can frame the face or perk up one’s look.

Nonetheless, if I have to go for any parties or event, I would never ever leave out the use of an eyeliner.

So these are my collection of eyeliners that I’ve accumulated thus far. They are mostly liquid ones or crayon ones. I never like using pencil eyeliners because they smudge on me too easily.

Therefore, when choosing an eyeliner, it is best that you swatch it on your hands and test whether it is going to be water-proof, smudge proof and oil proof. Especially for people who have active tears glands and oily lids like me.

Oh yes, I did not purchase all the eyeliners on my own except for the Maybelline Impact Smooth Felt Liner. The rest of them were either given to me as gifts or as goodies given by various companies. (Yeah, being a blogger saved me a lot of moolahs!)

Here’s a swatch of ALL the eyeliners I’m using now.

From left to right:
K Palette 24H Real Lasting eyeliner (brown)
Kate Cosmetics super sharp liner
Pink Brown Eyeliner
Majolica Majorca Perfect Automatic Liner
Maybelline Impact Express Smooth Felt Liner
Maybelline Eyestudio 2-in-1 impact shadow liner (brown)
Bebe Poshe dazzling eye pencil
Majolica Majorca Jewelling Pencil (PK204)
Maybelline eyestudio 2 in 1 impact shadow liner (white pearl)
Arezian diamond liquid eyeliner (Sliver)
Arezian diamond liquid eyeliner (Gold)
Topshop Crayon in midnight blue

These are the colour eyeliners I have. They are great as an eyeshadow for they are super pigmented or as an eyeshadow liner that blends really well with other eyeshadows you have.

For a bright eye look, I normally love using Majolica Majorca Jewelling Pencil (PK204) and Maybelline eyestudio 2 in 1 impact shadow liner (white pearl) at the inner corner of my eyes.

For an elaborate party look, I love to glam up my eyemakeup with the glittering eyeliners I have. (Gold and Sliver). Oh and they are great to create tears like effect if you apply them on your lashes too! The ones I got can be found at SaSa.

To replace the normal black eyeliners, try Topshop Crayon in midnight blue and Bebe Poshe dazzling eye pencil. They are subtle but dazzling with all the sparkles. I super love the Topshop eyeliner for its beautiful colour.

These are the basic eyeliners for everyday makeup. I normally use liquid ones because they are more lasting and I can draw super thin lines using them.

For everyday school looks, I love using brown eyeliners. Black eyeliners are often harsh looking and fierce. But brown eyeliners soften the eye makeup yet giving definition to the eyes. It is also a great colour for people who have extremely huge eyes and who found black eyeliners too elaborate for them. Pink Brown Eyeliner might be a tad too light but K Palette’s 24 hr long lasting liner is the perfect choice for me!

On weekends however, I love using the black eyeliners as my eyes will literally pop with them. Black eyeliners look good on photos too!

So let’s get my eyeliners tested!

Test 1: Rub test.

I tried rubbing the eyeliners and the ones that came off quite a bit were Topshop Crayon in midnight blue and Majolica Majorca Jewelling Pencil (PK204).
Though they were my favourite colours to use, they are not smudge proof. So you probably have to reconsider if you want to use them as an eyeshadow.

Test 2: Water Test

I sprinkled water on the swatches all of them faded especially the shadow liners and Maybelline Smooth Felt Express Liner and Perfect Majolica Majorca Automatic eyeliner.

Now, I really dislike Majolica Majorca Automatic eyeliner. Why? Because the liquid is so runny that I’m unable to control the amount that oozes out from the eyeliner. I think I never use it more than twice.

Test 3: Oil Test

For this test, I used Olive Oil since olive oil doesn’t remove my eyemakeup that thoroughly, hence I think it is ok to test using it. (But on second thought, I think I’m wrong.)
The best way to test is actually to use your own facial oil (like from your nose etc) but I just washed my face so no oil to use. lol.

Anw, the result shows that all my colour eyeliners faded like nobody’s business. But my black and brown eyeliners are still there, even though they did turn more faint.

Test 4: Cleansing Oil Test

This is to test which eyeliners are so stubborn that they can’t be removed.
Answer? Kate Cosmetic Super Sharp Liner.

This is another dislike product for me. Why? Firstly, if you notice my initial swatch, the eyeliner disperse outwards into my fine lines. Secondly, they can’t be removed totally!! There’s still visible faint lines despite rubbing them hard with cleansing oil.

So I hope you learn something from this blog post and choose your own eyeliners wisely. For me, the best eyeliner out of the whole lot would be K Palette 24 h long lasting eyeliner in Brown. And I’m still searching for the perfect one in black. :)
