Falling in love with Arteastiq

In reality, you don’t need to find friends for friends will come to you when it’s time. I don’t find friends deliberately, or rather I choose not to. But when I found one and feel like keeping one that I found, I make sure I do it deliberately. We don’t spend a lot of time together but that’s the thing, for friends don’t have to stick together all the time.  We make time for each other and say hello once in a while.

Chilling and chatting over a cup of tea is such an enjoyment. Been to Arteastiq twice with two good friends recently.  And good friends won’t ever run out of things to talk about. That’s awesome! If there’s any advice on how to keep the friendship going, it is to call that person out, and indulge over a cup of tea or coffee. Just catch up and lend a listening ear whenever needed.

I like my tea to be fruity; like that of a pear tea, lychee tea and berries tea. The fruits add a tinge of sweetness to the tea and I can possibly save the sugar cubes. I also love the almond cookies, which goes pretty well with the tea. I think Arteastiq (literally means ‘the art of teasing’ or ‘the art of tea that makes you tick’) is a really nice place to chill at with friends. The contemporary Europe decoration is not only good to look at, but also a lovely place to be at.

“Be grateful for your friends, family and support system. The people who are there for you right now will most likely be the people who will be there for you until the end. Express your weirdness and do it with pride. Be funny; be silly. You are too young to be so serious. Make new friends; explore new places.” - A message to the young women of the world.

Every ending is a new beginning

The best thing about having a sister of the same build is that you can always share your clothes.
Though about 98% of the times, it is my sis who wear my clothes.  lol
Finally it’s my turn. :p

Anw, I’ve finally finally finally ended my school life and am starting real work next week.

Thank you all for all the good 4 years memories.
Every ending is a new beginning.

Thank you my friend! It’s ur birthday month again!

Real friends may grow separately, but never apart.
There comes a point in your life when you realize who really matters,
who never did and who always will.

很庆幸那么多年下来,样貌随变了,但心却依然。

我们
还是我们。

Thank you my friend for always taking good care of my eyes! :)
I’m loving my new frame!

A day with Jun

I came to realise I am always staying at home on the actual Xmas day … oh well … better to stay home than be stuck in a horrible car traffic jam and human traffic jam. Spending time at home with my old folks, drinking vodka can be quite therapeutic too.

Anw, here’s another Xmas meet up!

Met up with Jun at Hatched (Holland Village) recently.

Jun’s Sir Benedict.

Mine is Burly Benedict. (I actually ordered this cos I wana eat the potatoes. LOL)

My verdict: Not bad…but not something I would say I love it!

My Orange Cooler

Posing with my food as usual. Hehe. I think I will be putting my fringe cut and keratin treatment on hold first. I will just go for a new dye job.

The girls do what the girls do best – SHOPPING. Wore pink coincidentally! :)

Do you know that Jun is courageous enough to travel abroad on her own … and her recent adventure was to Nepal’s Everest Base Camp!! Trekking non-stop for 7 days is no joke at all! Way to go girl! :) I am so proud of you.
Life is all about dreaming big, having faith, taking chances and taking things into YOUR hand.

This is our selca for the day. ^-^

Merry Xmas and let’s gear up for the new year! :)

My rocker outfit for the Xmas night

The thing that I love most about Xmas is the joy of giving and receiving. Every year I took time to write Xmas cards for friends because I feel that it shows how important they are in my life. :) And being a Santa Claus can be a happy thing isn’t it?

Yesterday I had my first Xmas celebration with FLOWERS. :) We all gave each other a dress code, a dress code that we don’t normally wear on a daily basis. lolol.

Mine was ROCK STAR ..2NE1. LOL. Although I say real one, I really don’t like 2NE1 maybe except Dara who is like so pretty even without makeup. But then again, her new hairstyle really is …. turn me off. =x

Here’s what I wore for the night – Body con dress with leather detailing + Scallop Studded bag + Boots.

Took this outside SOTA and I looked like I have mega long legs. And I looked really really fair in contrast to my all black outfit.

I always tell people if you put me alone, I would look tall. Just don’t put me beside anybody and I’ll be fine. lolol.

A rocker with a twist. lol. Mismatched.

My boots which I got in Taiwan for less than S$20!

And my bag which was my 21st birthday gift. Everyone thought it was new as I hardly bring it out. lol.

My teddy bear and me!

I like Prawn’s nike shoes. Very unique.

I am a santa claus!! All the goodies inside this bag. Heehee.

Went Starbucks for a drink. Guess what’s my fav Xmas drink?

I was showing my bf lots of pretty girls’ pictures and I said I think this Pang Lei Xin quite cute looking and then he said “eh you have the same hairstyle as this picture” and I’m like “oh ya hor! Similar!” and then I started cam-whoring. LOLOL. So this explains the picture of me holding a finishing drink. LOL. And then my boyfriend gone mad and I asked me to take 十连拍。

Stop saying that I am 冰山美人!

I am actually quite friendly. ^-^

It was a lucky day to receive present from the Santa Claus! We gotten a “house” (above our head) that house Awfully Chocolates Truffles inside.

Had a good time with my boyfriend…first meet up after I’m back in Singapore.

And then off to meet the girls at Just Acia!

Terriyaki + Soft Shell Crab set

Look at those huge portions! Slurps.

Gift exchange!! Gotten a desk vacuum from PL! Hehe.

I just realise I didn’t take a full length picture with SH whose dress code was lace and demure. But I think she look more sexy with that dress. HAHA.

YL and me. Cool VS ROCK. Not bad, give her credit for not wearing Pink for the first time. lolol.

Me and SW…hers was PRINTS. haha! Quite challenging for her.

Me and PL whose dress code was sexy! lol. Somehow I think she can swapped themes with SH’s laces.

Me and HM whose theme was dolly! I give it to her! She looked really different from her usual styles. hah!

Me and Y whose theme was glam queen! Glad that she curls her hair! haha!

The girls in Black.

It was super fun night out with the girls.

This year has been a rather eventful one even though there were no resolutions made. They say unexpected things happen when you least expected and it’s true. I slogged my ass out and passed my practicum. I get to do the things that I’ve always enjoy doing – watching plays and reading. I kept to my promise to be a better friend and made my very close pals a card/scrap book. I got closer with a friend unexpectedly and am happy that I did.  I got the chance to be in touch with drama again. I ended the year with two holiday trips.  I am grateful for all the sponsors I have this year and thank them for making me beautiful. Last, but not least, I am grateful that my family (including my lovely popo) and my boyfriend is still around me. Life is such a joy to have all you people around me.

Back from Bangkok!

Hey girls! I’m back from my second overseas trip this holiday!! Just went to Bangkok with my BFFS for the first time. Hehe…Shopping paradise!!

On board Scoots! It was such a pleasant ride with Scoots, better than Tiger IMO.

See the leg space….so comfy and spacious! And I love it that the seat is not very straight up!

Checked in to Citin Pratunam ..

Location wise …not too bad. Interior of the room good!

But their morning breakfast CMI…not much selection…

We only ate a lot of toasts. -.-

Carmen is my roomie for the 3 nights!

Bangkok is seriously SUPER WARM and HOT. Need to go there all prepared.

Cap checked. Sunblock checked. Sunglass checked.

Top bought in Bangkok. I only brought a set of clothes from home and buy everything else there to wear. lol.

Super warm shopping day in Chatuchak!

When the night came…it is still very warm. lol.

Everything is quite cheap over there! Able to grab $5 dress, $2 top and $4 pants! And I also got myself quite a number of Naraya bags. So worth the trip! I didn’t manage to spend all my money there due to lack of lugguage space. lol. =x

With all my girlies at the airport! hehe.

More updates till then! :)
Thanks for missing me while I’m away. :p

HM’s Birthday Celebration at Full House Restaurant

So my classmates and I were trying to plan a birthday celebration for HM’s 22nd birthday. We lured her to Full House Restaurant with an excuse saying that we want to celebrate the end of the semester! The girl did not suspect anything and went along with our plan.

So this is a rare themed restaurant in Singapore! I first know about it through friends’ photo album and I’m like WHERE IS THIS PLACE?! SO I went to google and found out that it is called Full House which is located near Dhobby Ghaut MRT.

The restaurant is nicely decorated with a Victorian theme. We all love the white furniture and furnishings.

All of us ordered a set meal which includes a drink + soup of the day.

Lemon Tea

Soup of the day. It tasted nice but the only complain is there’s only soup with no ingredients inside.

Friend’s main course – dory fish which tasted good.

My main course – chicken chop which was good! I love the sauce!

LOL. Tsk tsk…look at PL…photobombed leh! lol.

Eventually, we took a walk around the restaurant and snap away!

And my curls lasted the whole day! Not bad!

While all of us disappeared, Y had to try to mend the cake which was destroyed by me accidentally! My period came halfway and I had to go to the washroom. I have no pad with me so I had to borrow it from my friend. I wanted to hide my pad inside Y’s pouch (which was beside me) so I took her pouch and swing it slightly, not knowing that the cake was inside!! lol. Everyone’s eyes went really big that time.

So all of us returned to the table and HM was shocked to find a cake on her table!! HAHA GOTCHA! :)

The staff also kindly provide a plate for the cake. Here’s HM and her cake. I’m pretty sure it’s a memorable 22nd in such a beautiful themed restaurant.

We also got the birthday girl a DSLR camera bag! We were practically what’s app-ing every other day thinking of what to get for the girl. And we eventually went to get it secretly right after our last paper without her suspecting! Some of us went by the longer route so that she will not suspect anything. haha!

I hope she had lots of fun and I would love to visit the place again.

I believe in Fate

Lately, it has occurred to me that fate and destiny is a very strange thing. We meet new people everyday but not all people are meant to be part of your life. Some people who used to be part of your life may have left for some reasons or another, and then, new people came in unexpectedly, to fill up the space that was once occupied. But then again, most people are part of your life and never whole of your life.

Some people seem to be there, but in actual fact they are not. Some people weren’t there, but they are always there. I’m not sure if you geddit….but that’s just life. Complicated in a simple way. Think about the ones who have stayed with you throughout and are still there for you …. they are the ones worth keeping.

I do not let people in easily (due to past experiences), but when I do, you know there’s just some strange connection between us. You never really know someone until you talk to them at 3am. Good for those who have discovered the other side of me.

Treasure those who are in your life now cos you’ll never know how much you would miss that feeling until you lost and found it again.

Halloween in class?

So my group mates and I were dressed in emperor and concubines outfits! But no..not for Halloween. It was actually a mini drama skit put up in the classroom as part of our project. Sounds like a fun right?! Haha! We were actually learning about the Chinese Opera in class when the lecturer wanted us to do a drama skit as our project. And our group decided to act about 杨贵妃(yang gui fei) and 李隆基(li long ji)’s love story.

We had numerous rehearsals at my friend’s hall’s dance room. This is by far the most fun project ever! Definitely beats writing essays after essays. =p

Our play is on parallel dimension, so there were two 杨贵妃 in two different dimension. I was one of them!

A friend took this picture from the back of the classroom. Hah! :)

The emperor and his her concubine. Crossplay lor …cos not enough guys in our group.

My emperor had to leave for another class so I took another picture with this emperor. haha.

The guy beside me acts as a tree. Yeah…the only guy…but act as tree. Hahaha.

^-^

Like seriously? lol.

Members of FLOWERS! =D

And lastly the rest of my classmates. Hehe.

It was pretty entertaining watching everyone’s skits.

My makeup of the day! Purple and pink eyeshadow to suit my concubine role. lol.
