A day trip to Sentosa!

A trip to Sentosa all thanks to Prawn’s free tickets which include cable car rides + 2 4D shows. Went along with Prawn’s sister and mummy.
:)

Prawn’s so cuddly like a teddy bear. me like.
And look at the vast sea …PRETTY!!

So if you ask me, no I wouldn’t want to pay for the cable car rides myself. For free? Yes. But if I need to pay no. Unless the views we had is going to be FANTASTICALLY AMAZING which is not at the moment.

Where you sit on a stimulator chair that stimulates horse riding and hold a gun to start firing! The number one shooter will be screened big on the screen. Prawn was the number one shooter! HAHA! For the second round, I was the number 6 shooter!

Is like sitting through a roller coaster ride with the 3D screen and the moving chair. Quite exciting! I love this!

Eh eh eh ..what’s with that look?

Off for a nature trail next …

Love the peek of the sun ray.

I love what I wore. ^-^
Thanks to Prawn for fixing my Gregory bag. It’s like brand new again.

Took a cable car back to Vivo and the rain came! We’re so lucky!!
It’s a fun day out which ended with shopping at Vivo + chicken rice at Katong. Damm love the chicken rice there.
After which, Prawn and I stayed at Starbucks to chill while his sis and mum went home.

Staycation Day 2 part 2

Universal Studio Trip Part 2.

If you haven’t already read my Staycation part 1 post, check out here and here

Random shot of me and the Police Car.

Meet Marilyn Monroe.
I noticed our Marilyn Monroe is so much prettier and slimmer than the ones I saw on various friends’ USS album. LOL.

We went to this restaurant for our lunch! PIZZA!

Just look at the mega hugeeeee pizza for the 4 of us.

Satisfied meal!

Went to explore one of the alley there.
Nothing much there but it is a pretty place to take pictures.

I like to take pictures of these wires that cannot be seen in Singapore.
I took Malaysia’s, China’s, Taiwan’s and not forgetting USS’s. HAH.

Passed by Water World and caught another show on time!

It is a fabulous water show with ….

great actors/actresses, effects including small yatch spinning, explosive, guns, fires.
Oh yea, be prepared to GET WET!
Very nice show!
My friends thought this was the best show!

Also caught the Donkey’s show…

It is a 2D show but the donkey could communicate with us live!

Joanne being called up because she is a Singaporean.
It was very entertaining!

Is Jurassic Park one of your favourite movie ?

Took a junior roller coaster there.
I had to take off my slippers and I felt really insecure without any protection on my feet!
Screamed till my heart’s content.

This is no kick ride. Took for fun. haha!

Oh and lastly GET WET!!!
Along the bumpy route, there were dinosaurs at the side to scare us.
Funny thing was Pei Ling and I didn’t get wet, but the other 2 friends did.
And they were so so wet! hahahaha!

One group picture to end this post.

It was a great STAYCATION with my friends.
Oh I love trips like this. Time like this just made me want to go through this again and again. Friends, thanks for making those 2 days a wonderful joyous moment for all of us!

I’m not afraid of the sun so long as I have my water, shades and SPF with me! :p

Staycation Day 2 Part 1

Day 2 of our staycation.
I decided that I’m going to split this post into various posts for I do not wish to drown one entry with so much pictures!
I wana BLOG not just PLOG (picture blogging).

Woke up, put on minimal makeup and slather on sunblock for the day!

One last picture before we checked out!

Went to Toast Box for breakkie.
Yeah, our hotel stay doesn’t include breakfast. Bad point about “travelling” in Singapore.

Anw the highlight of the day was our UNIVERSAL STUDIO TRIP!!!
We were all very excited about it!!

The last time I went on a roller coaster ride was probably few years back at downtown east. And since then, I sweared to myself that I’m never going to touch such rides again! lolol! But you know, promises are meant to be broken!

So excited to be OUT OF SINGAPORE.

The weather was so good! SOOO GOOOOD!
I would rather it be freaking warm and hot than raining non-stop!

Another friend joined us in the trip! Here’s our first group picture taken!

The hats are there for visitors to don on and take pictures with!
So when you are there, make sure you don’t miss it!

This is the scariest ride of all.
Turns in 360 degree and look at all the awkward slopes!
If you’ve too much guts, you’ll love this.
But not for me, so I skipped it. Just hearing the screams are enough to make me shudders!

And then, we came to EGYPT!
I bet they really went measure the temperature before deciding to put this place as EGYPT. Because it is super duper hot there! Almost like Sahara dessert.

2 Dwarfs in front of 2 gigantic statues.

This is a MUST-TAKE ride! Super shiok and thrilling!
Feel the adrenaline as the roller coaster goes in the dark! At some point of the ride, it actually stops for awhile and travel BACKWARDS then DOWN. My heart almost jumped out you know!

WAHHH ….. wo men lai dao le HUANG GONG!

Welcome to the land of FAR FAR AWAY!

The sky was so pretty that day that it felt so unreal!

So we enter into the palace to catch a SHREK 4D show.

Look like there’s a ball going on here. hahaha.
It was in fact jut the queue lah.

The 3D spec which we had to wear.
The show was awesome! We all could literally feel Shrek’s Donkey saliva.
Eyewww.

Shrek and his beloved Fiona! Look at what Shrek did to our poor dude’s head. hahaha!

Goodbye far far away.

We also went to catch another 4D show called camera, lights, rolling, action!
IT WAS DAMM GOOD. AWESOME!!
It started out with a peaceful scene like the above.

And then later on, you will experience thunder storms, lightnings, the strong wind, the rain. You’ll see FLAMES after FLAMES. These are real fire! We can literally feel the heat.

The windows were detached by the wind too! It was so real! Even the scene outside the window was soooooo REAL.

It ended off with a huge boat coming into our direction.
Go and imagine what happen next okay. :)

You know, all along I thought USS only have rides after rides.
But actually there were more to it! The amazing 4D shows left me with really good impression! I love it! It’s really worth the 66 bucks.

To be continued ….

Staycation Part 1

Yipee! I’m back from my 2D1N STAYCATION!!
It was a whole load of fun! I didn’t expect that cus honestly how fun can Singapore be?
I have good companionship these 2 days with Ling and Hui Mei.
And we have great activities exploring around our Hotel and USS trip!

So much fun that this can go on for paragraphs.
Despite having sorethroat, I went out to play with no regrets. HAHA.

Ok, enough of ramblings. Let me show you some peektures!

We checked in to Festive Hotel at 3pm. Pior to that, we went grocery shopping.

While walking in to our room …

Our deluxe room; double single bed. Erm, yes, 3 people sharing 2 beds. haha!
We actually wanted a double bed but they were all booked already.

Let’s check out the washroom.

Oh wait, we have a balcony too! :)

The 3 ladies are going to spent a night together!

The view we saw when we stepped out of the balcony.
The min I saw the pool, I feel like jumping into it!

Taking photos here because I thought the background looks nice!

Stayed in the room for awhile before we head out to explore.

Took this escalator with music and sound of birds chirping …

And yes, the CASINO …

Look at the amount of people who went in and out of Casino!
Mostly aunties and uncles.
Sometimes I wonder is there a need for Singapore to have 2 casinos?

Outside Candylicious!

Up the stairs we go!

The scenery here is so pretty!

Am I really in Singapore?

Went to Ramen Play House to have our dinner!

Cam-whored there. :/

Our face like doughs! Looks as if can be mould into something else.

They say this is cool pose. LOL.

The girls!

The night view…

My camera takes good night shot!

But sometimes it gives a day-light feel despite being night time. LOL.

And we had one for one ice-cream at Candylicious. This promotion starts at 8pm.
We tried 6 flavours! Our pick is Cappuccino and Lime.

Catch the Crane Show at 8.30pm!

Look at my bunny iphone casing! Uber cuteness.

The show started out with a blue scenery.

Then two birdies woke up …

Water as their wings. SO BREATH-TAKING!

Magnificent View …

Their skeleton showing where the heart is.

Soaring …

Flying …

The show was fantastic! It is free!
But no lah, no fireworks.

Headed back to our hotel to catch the 9pm show before we washed up and had our relaxing session!

Girls in white. haha!

I got the rose wine beforehand and chilled it in the fridge.
Ice were available just outside our room! Very convenient and thoughtful.

Ling served us wine …

We had chips to go along ….

Had some HTH talk before we slept ..
And the girls love the rose wine. ^-^

To be continued ….

My BATAM trip!

I’m back from my short-getaway to BATAM!!
So fast I’m back. :’( Really really enjoyed myself very much.

Anyhoos, Batam is just shiokness lah~  The main thing for the trip is to go for their massage and not forgetting FOOD! Did some good food research prior to this trip.

Doing a travelog. For people who wish to go Batam yourself, please bookmark this page. HAHA.

Took a 45 mins ferry ride from Habourfront to Batam Centre.
That’s like super fast? Within 45 mins, we’ve reached Indonesia! FWAOH.

Us on the ferry.

Anw, their local time was 1 hour earlier than us.

A cam-whore like me couldn’t stop taking peektures.

After reaching Batam, someone fetched us to our Hotel - Ihotel. It is situated at Nagoya, so very convenient for shopping trips!

Our room is damm spacious and chio. Looks super romantic at night. I’ll show pictures later huh.

Our first stop was Nagoya Hill Shopping Centre which was the biggest mall in Batam and only a few mins walk from our hotel.

We were trying to search for the most delicious Ayam Penyet here but we went into the wrong store cos we couldn’t locate it at first.

The fish was really nice but the ayam penyet was a tad small and disappointing.

Walked around the mall and we found a stretch of food stalls. The real Ayam Penyet was there!! Zzz ..But it’s okay cos we vowed to have it the next day.

Went to Hypermart and tried their local potato chips called the CHITATO chips.
Don’t you think Prawn looks quite handsome here? HAHA.

I tried but failed leh. Machiam like “Hey, these are mine hor! Don’t SNATCH!! GRRRR~”

Normal one looks much better. lol.
The chips were quite nice albeit I find them a little bit salty. So many packets for 1SGD.

Continued to shop around the mall but nothing caught my eye. Got a LV chiong belt for my Dad.  Was abit stunned that the packaging is super nice also.

Our next stop was our SPA treatment at Everyday, opposite Nagoya Hill. We chose package A which consists of 110 mins of Massage, Scrub and Shower. The price was around 20+ SGD? Super cheap. And the masseur was really good. Prawn fell asleep halfway. The whole session was the highlight of our trip. Would really love to come back for more massages!

After our damm shiok massage, we took a taxi and headed to Golden Prawn for seafood dinner. According to the locals, Golden Prawn has been around for many years! 老招牌!

Seafood was fresh and alive and chosen by ourselves. Very interesting! We can even tell them how we want our dishes to be cooked.

We were sitting by the sea ~

Our dishes; lala, golden prawn, steamed fish, gong gong,  kang kong, and fish soup that taste like shark fins! Oh and we had 2 big coconut drinks too!

That’s really alot of food for 2 people; think it’s enough for a family of four!

And we actually finished them!!! HAHAHA.

Satisfied us after the meal. ^-^

Went back to our room and changed into our swimsuits for Jacuzzi!! Sorry uh, no biginis for me. hahaha. This Jacuzzi session was an impromtu one but super shiok under the moonlight.

Back to our comfy hotel room and sleep in for the night. : )

Super romantic hor? ^__^

What a wonderful morning to start off your day with the hotel’s buffet ..
Oh look at the double yolk egg!

Fruits for you? :>

Headed out to Nagoya Hill for more food and a little shopping.

A&W float and ice-cream waffle for you? ^_^

At last, we found the AYAM PENYET!

Takeaway to our hotel room because we had to check out very soon.
Oh and this is super yummy! Really yummy than the one we had yesterday!!
You’ve to try this yourself.

Had some money left so I spent it on shades! Chanel inspired. LOL.

有没有美美? :)

On the ferry back home again.
Didn’t have the chance to cover Waterfront, famous Yong Kee Fish Soup and Prawn’s roasted pig.

So I’m hoping to have a Batam trip 2 again? :>

All in all, I had an awesome time over there with Prawn. It doesn’t felt abit like 2D1N; it felt so much longer …

Tourist of the day

The module that I’m taking gave me a chance to be a tourist for one day.

Sometimes it’s nice to be a tourist of Singapore and just snap away ….
I’m sure you can guess whr were we. : )

Seriously think this picture doesn’t belong to SGP!

Random shots of classmates who have pretty bags.

Have you been to the first Yakun outlet? I did. ^__^

Oh and I love this bowl of Ramen. Pretty awesome!

Taking a stroll into the garden

Taking a breather out of my stressful workload, so I decided that by hook or by crook I have to head out with Prawn today!!
Life ….. must relax a bit lah, seriously!

So we headed to Chinese garden/Japanese garden for a stroll….

Climbed up 7 floors just to see this view.
=.=

My boyfie who spank my butt many times today because I was really lazy to climb the stairs and climb the overhead bridge. LOL.

Good way to make the face appear slimmer by covering part of it. HAHAHA.  You can learn this trick from me, but pls quote (Chua, 2010). LOL.

Just kidding!

Happy is when I get to TAKE A BREAK!!
Tired of rushing deadlines; but that’s what made up my life for now. =/

Oh and I love this cropped top! Got this from ilovebeingreal.

Us acting retarded under the sun.

:)

Alright, needa get back to work again soon!!
I hope to finish my AQL’s ppt tonight and start planning my second essay!!

Bottle Tree Park

Time between Prawn and me is getting lesser and lesser. NDP and YOG are taking up so much of his time!! But I’m still glad that we have exciting things to do most of the time we met.

Like yesterday, we went to ….

Bottle Tree Park at Yishun!!
It’s quite an interesting place to chill out a little with friends …

You can prawn or fish there! There is also a few restaurants nearby for the food glutton!
But oh well, we did none of the anything above. We merely just stroll around the area and I kept complaining about the heat. =x  It would be more enjoyable to go during evening time where the sun isn’t that bright.

Couples can peddle in this swan like boat.

And we had ICE-CREAM while sitting around the park, enjoying the breeze and the talks among us.

Ending off with one last picture of us!!

Taiwan Trip Day 7 & 8 – Taipei & Dan Shui

For day 7, we were still at Taipei and later headed to Dan Shui before going back to Taipei again.

We visited this particular 纪念堂 and watched their soldiers march.

Too much people for proper photo-taking. There were lots of Japanese here!

This soldier have to stand still and straight like this for hours until they change shift. I bet it’s mad tiring! Imagine your back gets itchy halfway and you couldn’t scratch, then later on, some nonsense kids came and disturb you, trying to make you laugh but you couldn’t!

I think this is a picture of how they fight the Japanese?

Next, the tour guide brought us to this shop to have our names read for free and introduce us to an auspicious creature.

This is it. It is called 天禄, and it is an auspicious creature that possessed mystical power capable of drawing wealth in all directions. It can also help to avoid misfortune and disasters. The myth of this creature is that that it violated a law of heaven, so the Jade Emperor punished it by restricting it’s diet to gold, and prevented the creature from defecating by sealing its anus, which also means that your wealth will be 有进无出。It is also believed that it will help to assist students in their studies.

It is nothing religious, so anyone can use it and bring it back home. So each of us took turns to touch it and bring back wealth/knowledge into our pocket/brain. I have one in my bag now and hopefully it brings me good fortune and chase away all misfortunes. haha!

For lunch we had steamboat! It was quite ok, nothing fantastic though.

Guess where were we??!

TAIPEI 101 !!!

This wasn’t part of our tour initially; we were supposed to go to a beach but we all requested for 101 instead so the itinerary was changed! Again, nothing much since branded goods in TW is so much more expensive than the ones sold in SGP. Other than being the tallest building here, there’s really nothing to rave about.

Next, moving off to dan shui, 渔人码头!

The wind was breezy and we felt like we were in some Taiwan Drama. LOL.

Next, it was night market again! (Can’t remember the name again!)

We had fried durian!!! YUMMY!

This ice-cream felt so different! It doesn’t totally melt in the mouth but slowly, like eating ice!

I always have this urge to take picture of wires whenever I go travelling to such countries cos we can’t spot such wires in SGP! I think people would think that I am mad, like what’s there to photograph about here!

Beautiful country. I’d love to come back again.

Ok, I finally remembered this last night market !!!  It’s Shi Lin Night Market!

Look at the amount of people swarming past … it’s crazy I tell you! But I still managed to buy a few pieces of dresses and tops.

And and, if you happen to go Shi Lin the next time, do not forget to order a cup of 青蛙下蛋!It’s like their bubble tea but the pearls are like so sooooft and nice to chew! Not like SGP’s bubble tea; their pearls are like chewy rock!

For Day 8, we visited some place that sells alot of tea leaves and we learn the art of drinking tea there too. In taiwan, you have to sip their tea out loud cos that means their tea is nice. And we had a competition there to see who can sip the loudest. It was really such a funny sight!
Then, it was home sweet home.

Here’s the last video which include some funny moments throughout the trip:

I’ve learned quite alot through this trip and I really love how clean their streets are despite the fact that there were very little dustbins around. Just where did all the rubbish go?? Well, it’s a good and bad thing about going with a tour. Somehow, I kinda enjoy doing sight-seeing more than shopping because that’s the only time you can get away from all the city life. Isn’t it? Even though we have limited time to everywhere we go, at the very least we had somebody there to explain things and stories behind every location to us. Good thing was, our tour guide is a very funny lady and that makes the journey less boring for sure.

All in all, it was a well-spent 8 days tour with my family. I would love to visit Taiwan sometime again. Travelling is so addictive! But for now, Hong Kong would be the next country I would love to visit. And there will always be some day that I’d love to go back to China again.
