Review: Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream

I am beginning to love Kiehl’s more and more as their products always appear minimalistic yet offers great efficacy in whatever they are offering. They are also quite affordable so I’m willing to spend my money on their products. It is a brand that both the male or female would love.

Kiehl’s sent me an ultra facial hydration pack recently. Of which, I love their Ultra Facial Cream and also their Ultra Facial Cleanser which I have previously reviewed before.

The problem with my skin is that it is dehydrated with occasional outbreaks. Dehyrated skin is not to be confused with dry skin. Dry skin lacks oil while dehydrated skin lacks water. Oil? My skin has plently. Hence, when choosing moisturizer, it is important for me to find a light-weight moisturizer that helps to replenish the moisture that my skin lacks without feeling greasy on the skin.

I finally had the time to try out Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream and boy, was I in love with this amazing cream!
This moisturizer claims to provide 24 hour hydration which I usually don’t believe. however, to test the performance, Kieh’s partnered with adventure explorer and polar guide Doug Stoup, on his recent expedition to the North Pole in the Arctic Ocean. Temperature at the North Pole hits as low as -43 degrees C!

If you have been to winter country before, you would probably realise how dry your skin may be. Chapping, cracking and peeling….
However, this cream helped his face feel moisturized under such extreme conditions and this hydration helped him look 10 years younger.

Thankfully, I don’t live in such harsh condition. Nevertheless, the air-conditioning in Singapore often makes my skin feels dry and dehydrated. Hence, it is the Ultra Facial Cream that came to the rescue!

The lotion-cream like based moisturizer is smooth on the skin when applied. It doesn’t feels heavy on the skin as well. And it works equally well as my night jelly mask that provides optimal hydration. Every night I apply this and go to sleep. I would examine my skin when I wake up, only to find the lines (due to dehyration) on my skin disappear!

Proof that the cream is easily absorbed by the skin.

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone having combination dry skin like me. 🙂
