I have the opportunity to attend a beauty talk hosted by the health and beauty wellness guru Bryan Gan one Saturday morning. I overslept so I took a cab down and I’m glad I did because Bryan was very entertaining and the talk that he gave was very informative.
When it comes to the brand Panasonic, a lot of people would immediately think of their camera. Their Lumix camera takes great vivid pictures. Panasonic is well-known for its electronics. But what many people don’t know is that Panasonic has also come up with many beauty gadgets.
In 2013, I was one of the finalist for OMY Beauty Blog (I didn’t participate this year) and had the opportunity to try out their Facial Steamer, read about it here Face steaming is very important as it helps to open up the pores so that gunk can come out, and facial products can absorbed better into the skin. The steaming process is made more convenient now with the facial steamer.
Bryan Gan also shared that essential oils can help to relieve stress as well. As the steamer isn’t able to add essential oil, Bryan Gan suggested us to put two or three drops of the essential oil on a cotton pad and stick on the steamer as above. How smart eh?
This interesting device called eye warming massager is new and can help to care for the eyes, reduce dark circles and promote blood circulation around the eyes area. Nowadays, people stare into their phones, laptops and tablets too often. As a result, eyes can get very tired and puffy. This device has a warming sensation that helps to relieve eyes stress and refreshes the eyes
Here’s Bryan demonstrating on how to use the gadget. He also added that if one is facing insomnia, use this and you might find yourself falling asleep very soon.
The next gadget is the facial/body roller. Use this to massage the face or the body so as to firm the skin. Bryan said even Zoe Tay emphasize a lot on face massage. You can adjust the temperature setting as well as the strength.
Always massage the skin in an upward motion.
One interesting tip I’ve learnt from Bryan is breathing technique. In our fast-paced life, we often forget to breathe. Bryan introduced the 4-7-8 breathing technique that help to calm down and counter stress.
How to do it:
2. Breathe in 4 counts
3. Hold your breath for 7 counts
4. Breathe out for 8 counts
I’m gonna do this breathing technique every time I apply my skincare products. I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be relaxing!
